Getting Started
What are the benefits of working with a personal trainer?
Whether you’re just getting started on your fitness journey or you’re a seasoned pro, working with a personal trainer can help in many ways. An experienced trainer will provide motivation and support, helping you to stay accountable to your goals.
If you’re like most people & have limited time available, your trainer can also help you ensure you’re getting the most of out of your sessions, so you see improved results, quicker. Lastly (and possibly most importantly), your trainer will create a personalized exercise plan just for you; one that’s tailored to your individual fitness level, goals, and limitations.
What fitness goals can you help me achieve?
Whether your goal is to build muscle, improve strength and/or endurance, reduce your risk of injury, lose weight, or improve your overall health & fitness, consistent sessions can help get you there.
How do I know if working with a personal trainer is right for me?
Working with a personal trainer can be a great investment into yourself and your future, but it’s not right for everyone. Before making a decision, we recommend considering the following:
What are your fitness goals? A good trainer will help ensure you’re setting realistic goals for yourself, and can provide support and accountability along the way. They can also help you track your progress, and adjust your plan along the way to enable consistent, steady improvement.
Will you stick with it? If you’re someone who struggles with motivation, working with a trainer is a great way to reduce the likelihood that you’ll lose focus and/or quit. If you’re just getting started, I recommend committing to three months (minimum) of consistent sessions. This will give you a great jumpstart and get you set up with a strong foundation that you can develop further if desired.
What’s your budget? If you’re looking for dedicated support, our 1:1 Sessions are your best bet. If you’re looking to save, consider trying our 2:1 Partner Sessions, or Shannon’s Group Classes. The 2:1 Partner Sessions are fun and high-impact, and they’re perfect if you prefer exercising with a partner or a friend. Many of our 2:1 Session clients also love the built-in motivation and accountability! The Group Classes are another lower cost option, great for folks at any fitness level.
Do I have to be vegan to work with Plant Fuel Fitness?
Absolutely not! We offer Nutrition Coaching as an available service, but just because we follow a plant-based diet, doesn’t mean we expect our clients to as well. We’re all about meeting you where you are, however that looks for you.
Where do sessions and classes take place?
All Personal Training, Duo Training, and Group Classes are held at Sacramento Eco Fitness (1914 L St, Sacramento CA 95811).
